Now in its 95nd edition, the Truffle Fair is one of the most important international events for lovers of the precious white Alba truffle. The city dresses up and welcomes guests with the presentation of local excellences. The program includes meetings with great local Chefs, sensory analysis of truffles, wine tasting alongside special appointments with local folklore.

Deep respect

Respect for the environment and biodiversity means protecting the ecosystems that allow the Alba white truffle to thrive.

Respect is the foundation of training and harmony between different species, in this case between humans and dogs. Natural intelligence is what allows the “trabuj” (a truffle-hunting dog in the local language) to seek out and find the “trifula” (local language), the Tuber Magnum Pico, the Alba white truffle—the most prized and expensive truffle on earth. The dog’s sense of smell guides it in its search for the tuber… the inevitable reward it will receive from the “trifulau” (truffle hunter in the local language).
