Sounds from the hills of Langhe and Roero

Italy&USA – Summer 2018 (XII edition)
6 July – 5 August 2018

“Traveling between the charm of places and the magic of music”: these are the words that most often accompanied our summer event: music and emotions mixed with the culture of the territory, adding the pleasure of art and beauty to conviviality and hospitality, interpreters of a unique natural stage in which music and the public meet to embrace art with thought and emotion.

Sounds from the UNESCO Hills

Alba Music Festival and Sound from the hills, in 11 years has established itself as a great musical project, the added value for the enhancement of cultural heritage and territory. Precursors of many prestigious events, we have sensed from the beginning that classical music, embodying absolute values, recreated through artists and proposed in places of extraordinary beauty, produced a result well above the sum of the elements. Music, more than any other art, in its communication beyond the spoken language, has catalyzed a qualified audience: a careful and loyal local audience and an international audience intoxicated by the beauties of art, places and conviviality. In over a decade of activity we have crossed the villages and the hills, transforming the historical cellars into unusual stages; we have involved the territories, the Municipalities, the extraordinary productive activities linked to wine, in an intense and joyful musical summer series of events. The inscription of our territories as a World Heritage Site is a further confirmation of how much men, art and nature have done together over the centuries. On our part, we are aware that art and culture must increasingly be an integral part of a mature vision of development, to leave tomorrow an exemplary sign of civilization.

The festival develops with concerts every day between July 6 and August 5

From an opening in the beautiful gardens of the Royal Castle of Verduno, to continue with an event in the event, the Concert in the woods in the enchanting nature of the Alta Langa of Torresina forest, from the castel of Grinzane Cavour and Magliano Alfieri, to the splendid villages of Bossolasco, Castiglione Falletto, Sinio and Verduno, at the Teatro della Pietra in Bergolo, Cherasco, the suggestive wine estates of Tenuta Carretta di Piobesi, the cellars Terre del Barolo and Mauro Molino all’Annunziata of La Morra, and then from the Sanctuary of Madonna of the woods of Vezza d’Alba, from the villages of Castiglione Tinella, Treiso, Santo Stefano Roero, Castagnole delle Lanze, San Bovo, to unusual places such as the Cossano Belbo Marine Mill, and then, of course, Alba.
